What you can expect from our interior painting services:
You can expect our experienced foreman and crews to show up in full uniform at 7:00 a.m. ready to tackle your project. On the first day your foreman will walk the job with you, discuss the best approach and will cover any final details. The foreman will communicate with you on a daily basis to keep you informed of our next move. A crew will be present everyday until your project is completed.
Our trained crews will move the furniture to the center of the room and cover it with protective plastic. They will remove items from the walls, including electrical plates, and store them for safekeeping. Drapes, curtains and blinds are taken down and protected. Drop cloths are put down to cover all flooring. Lastly, we will inspect the area to see if anything else needs to be removed or if we need any additional protection.
Our crews do extensive preparation to your interior walls and ceilings, including any major drywall repairs. Using drywall compound, we will fix nail pops, nail dimples, nail holes and any other blemishes we see in your walls and ceilings.
Our painting technicians inspect all trim work to evaluate the existing caulking. They will remove any loose caulking and re-caulk existing cracks. New trim will be caulked wherever there are seams. We use painters putty to fill any nail holes found in the trim work.
Our crews sand all drywall compound previously applied to the walls. We take several precautions to keep this process as neat as possible. We shut the doors to rooms we are working in or tape plastic to adjoining rooms to minimize the spread of dust. We pole sand all wall surfaces to knock down minor imperfections. Finally, we dust off surfaces to make sure no dust gets into the paint.
Depending on your paint finish we may spot prime any drywall compound to achieve a nice uniform final finish. We also look for any scuffmarks or water stains that need priming so they don’t bleed through the final paint finish. We also prime new drywall or drywall repairs and unprimed trim work. If wallpaper was removed, the walls will be primed to neutralize any remaining adhesive.
Our paint crews take care of any last minute details and check that we are 100% protected. We find that brushing and rolling the paint on is a neater process than spray painting and leaves a thicker, more uniform finish. The ceiling and walls will be cut in by brush and then rolled using rollers. We do not use tape to create paint lines. Our highly skilled painters create sharp and clean lines by hand. Lastly, we brush most trim work.
We have a daily breakdown and tidying up process that starts between 3:00-3:15 p.m. We leave the jobsite at 3:30 p.m. after making sure the site is safe, secure and as livable as possible.
Final Clean Up
At the end of the job we roll up and remove drop cloths. We carefully fold and remove plastic so as not to disturb any dust. We check surfaces for dust and sweep or vacuum the entire room. We re-hang drapes, curtains and blinds. We place items back on the walls and put furniture back where it belongs. Electrical plates are reinstalled. We remove all tools and trash from the jobsite and you can now return to your beautiful new living space.
Quality Control Inspection
After the project is done our foreman will personally inspect the work to ensure that it meets and/or exceeds nationally recognized Painting Industry Standards. Our foreman will advise you ahead of time of our completion schedule and will try to arrange a walk through with you to ensure your satisfaction.
